Join the Intercambio group for a float trip down the Shenandoah River, in Harper’s Ferry, WVa.
What is a float trip? It takes approx. 1.5 hours from the start to the finish. You float down the river in an intertube and can bring along food and drink (no alcohol per West Virginia law) in a cooler they attach to a float. Very relaxing day.
Where is it? Harper’s Ferry, WVa. We will carpool from the Takoma Metro Station. Please meet in the Takoma Metro Station Parking Lot at 10:00AM sharp for a 10:15am departure. It’s approximately 90 minutes drive. We need drivers so PLEASE comment if you are able to drive and how many people you can take.
We will plan to do the float from start to finish 2-3 times. We hope to begin approx. Noon and will depart from Harper’s Ferry around 5PM, arriving back to DC around 6:30PM.
What to bring? Swimsuit, water shoes or shoes you don’t mind getting wet, sunscreen, food and drink (non-alcoholic) for the float trip, dry clothes/towel for the end.
